Alcohol Education Trust: Young People’s Choices Around Cannabis
This online training is provided by the Alcohol Education Trust.
The session is designed for anyone who supports a young person or a young adult in a professional capacity. It explores 16 to 24 year-olds choices around cannabis, myth-busting, the types of cannabis available, how cannabis can affect a young person, and the law.

Breaking The Chain - Theatre Performance for Professionals Morning Session
The play is aimed at students in Year 7 and upwards and will tour educational settings catering for secondary aged pupils in Gloucestershire. The play and post-show talk lasts for 55 minutes and aims to raise awareness around:-
- The risks and consequences of youth violence and knife crime on the individual, on their friends, families, and on the wider community
- The influences, fears and pressures that can lead to the decision to hurt someone or to carry a knife, and how these can be managed or avoided
- The core skills that can be used help young people to navigate a whole host of issues and critical life moments that they may encounter
- The importance of seeking help and advice, or telling someone if you are concerned about yourself, a friend or someone you know.
- Where to go for help and advice
The play will be performed by Narrative Alchemy Ltd (formerly Alter Ego Creative Solutions), who have successfully delivered Chelsea’s Story, County Lines and In the Net theatre performances within Gloucestershire for a number of years.

Mental Health - e-learning package (Train the Trainer)
Mental Health e-learning ‘Train the Trainer’ Course
This has been designed in conjunction with CYPS and is an incredibly accessible tool.
Course Aims
To help all primary and secondary school staff to understand the more common mental health problems children and young people may face.
To recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health problems
To guide a child or young person towards the right support
To help children and young people cope and manage their lives.
This course is for:
All primary and secondary school staff wishing to develop their knowledge and skills around Mental Health. It is intended that after receiving training, delegates will then ask questions on how to then deliver the package themselves. All participants will need a laptop or tablet and internet access to complete the session, which lasts 90 minutes.

social media and applications. How to configure privacy
settings and protect your child’s information. - Parental Control Tools – Explore tools and settings to

fostering honest conversations about internet use and
creating a supportive environment.
The presentation is of course free of charge and can be presented at any time of the schools choosing, preferably whenever will encourage the best turnout of parents.
