Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS)
About
Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS) is a county-wide service designed to reduce the level of domestic abuse and improve the safety of victims and their families. They operate in all districts offering a variety of support programmes for women and men over 16 years old who are experiencing domestic abuse.
GDASS believes that everyone has the right to a life free from violence and abuse; domestic abuse is a violation of adult’s and children’s rights and is a result of an abuse of power and control. The organisation aims to empower victims to live independently, free from fear and abuse through a response-based approach to offer support. They keep the voice of the victim central to their work, and challenge the disadvantages that result from domestic abuse.
